When considering solar panel installations, it’s important to use high-quality panels from reputable manufacturers. Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF) maintains a list of “Tier 1” solar panel manufacturers, which is widely respected in the industry and is also a must for Granyt leased systems.

What is a Tier 1 Solar Panel Manufacturer?

Tier 1 manufacturers are those that have:

Supplied own-brand, own-manufacture products to six different projects
Obtained non-recourse financing from six different banks in the past two years
Demonstrated financial stability and bankability

It’s important to note that the Tier 1 list is not a measure of panel quality, but rather of the manufacturer’s financial stability and bankability.
